Farmer rescues sheep that fell into canal in Oswestry

A hero farmer has rescued a sheep who fell into a canal in Oswestry today.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 9.55am today (Thursday) reporting the incident in New Marton, Oswestry.

One fire crew was sent from Oswestry Fire Station to the scene where a sheep had fallen into a canal.

However, no action was required from fire personnel as farmer had rescued the sheep prior to crews' arrival.

The incident concluded by10.44am.
