A drink driver told a court that he will lose his £1,100-a-week job on the HS2 rail project as a result of his actions.
Carl Pryce was stopped by police in Woodside, Telford, after making an 'abrupt turn' into School Road at 12.15am on September 27, 2024.
Kate Price, prosecuting, told Telford Magistrates Court that officers turned on their blue lights to stop a VW Turan after it was seen being driven 'erratically'.
The 41-year-old of Park View, Broseley, failed a roadside alcohol test, was arrested a blew an alcohol reading of 75 at the police station, which is more than twice the legal limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Pryce, who was representing himself, pleaded guilty to drink driving and apologised to the magistrates.
