Telford man avoids prison for taking and damaging mother-in-law's car after magistrates told of 'turbulent upbringing'
A man who took his mother-in-law's car with the 'best of intentions' ended up damaging it after it skidded on mud.

It was the second time that Lewis Titheradge had taken his mother in law's car without her consent so she reported him for it and he appeared in court on Tuesday where magistrates considered jailing him.
Telford Magistrates Court was told that Titheradge, aged 24, had such a 'turbulent upbringing' which means that his 'thinking skills are warped'.
But now the issues are being dealt with by the support of his family.
Titheradge, of Harvey Crescent, in Arleston, Telford, was appearing for sentencing on Tuesday after previously pleading guilty to aggravated vehicle taking where damage of less then £5,000 was done to the Vauxhall Combo Life.
The court was told that Titheradge had taken the car to Donnington on December 22, 2023 to make some money do some work removing trees. But he ended up skidding the car on mud and a collision with a post caused the damage.
