Free digital marketing training sessions have been organised by Powys County Council to help people in the arts, culture, learning and heritage sectors advertise their events
The free sessions, which will take in November and December, have been arranged ahead of the forthcoming launch of a new What’s On platform on the council’s StoriPowys website – a website dedicated to Powys’ arts, culture and creative sectors.
The workshops, which are aimed at creative individuals and organisations, will focus on content strategy, writing for the web, search engine optimisation, social media and more. It will also be an opportunity to find out more about the new What’s On platform that is being introduced by the council’s Cultural Services.
Councillor Richard Church, Cabinet Member for a Safer Powys, said: “The launch of this new digital platform and training programs by Powys County Council marks a significant advancement for arts, culture, libraries, museums, and heritage in Powys.
