10-year-old girl seriously injured after being hit by car in Oswestry

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident where a girl was seriously injured after being hit by a car.

West Mercia Police said the girl, who is ten, was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital with serious injuries following the incident, where she remains in a stable condition.

The incident took place at around 8.30am on Friday, November 15, on Unicorn Road in Oswestry.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Officers would like to speak to anybody who may have seen the collision or from anybody who has dash cam footage from around the time it happened.

"Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
