Celebration for Telford actor-filmmaker as movie comes out
A young Telford actor and filmmaker is celebrating the launch of their second film just months after deciding to reveal their transition to a new life as Rubie.
As Jason Wright, the now 25-year-old created The Apples Gang years ago to help people who feel that their lives are different from others - now as their second movie is released they are ready to go public on transitioning.
“I came out in June,” said Rubie, from Dawley.
“It was something I have known since I was little.”
Rubie adds: “I am not forcing it on anyone but it is a relief for me to come out.
“I have had the odd look and comment in town but my opinion is 'if you don't like it, screw you'.
