Ex Cathedra, a world-class vocal ensemble, is performing ‘Christmas by Candlelight’ at St Chad’s Church in Shrewsbury on Friday, December 6.

“Liz Dilnot-Johnson, Ex Cathedra composer-in-residence, premieres her new work Ring out wild bells. Add a selection of readings that capture the mystery - and humour - of Christmas, and people won’t want to miss this popular, atmospheric concerts.

“Over the course of the evening, artistic director Jeffrey Skidmore’s programme of music and readings explores the wonder – and humour – of the season.
