70 new homes planned for outskirts of village near Whitchurch
Plans to build 70 homes on the outskirts of a village near Whitchurch have been submitted to Shropshire Council.
Developer Boningale Homes has revealed plans to build 70 new homes on a four-hectare site north of Tilstock, three miles from Whitchurch.
The new builds would be made up of four one-bed bungalows and 19 two-bed houses, 28 three-bed houses and 19 four-bed houses. The one-bedroom homes and three of the three-bedroom homes would be available for social, affordable or intermediate rent.
According to the applications, the bungalows would be situated on the outside edge of the site: "firstly to have a more calm and pleasant outlook, and secondly to achieve some softening of heights and density on the edge of the site".
The application continues: "Bungalows are very desired and under-provided as affordable homes too, so there is significant benefit to be found there and their positioning is logical."
