Ellesmere Primary School headteacher Nicola Bond was pleased for her school to be graded ‘Good’ in each category by inspectors who visited on October 1.

The report published on November 11 said pupils are “happy, safe and well cared for” at the school as well as being “polite and welcoming” to visitors and respectful to each other.

The school, which is part of the North West Academies Trust, has more than 360 pupils on its school roll, and is supported closely by the trust and its board of trustees.

Ellesmere Primary School’s ‘quality of education’, ‘behaviour and attitudes’, ‘personal development’, ‘leadership and management’, and ‘early years provision’ were all graded ‘Good’ by inspectors.

The school’s curriculum was also praised and branded as “broad and ambitious” in the report.
