Car leaks 30 litres of diesel onto road near Bridgnorth - firefighters called to assist

A car leaked 30 litres of diesel onto a road this afternoon, prompting a call to the fire brigade.

The incident happened at Cooks Cross, Alveley, near Bridgnorth.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesman said: “At 2.58pm on Monday, November 25, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a 'fuel leak, spillage small' in Cooks Cross, Alveley.

“Car leaking fuel - 30 litres of diesel. Crews used sawdust and environmental grab packs to soak up spillage.”

Crews finished working at the scene at 3.43pm.
