Market Drayton Town Council will host a meeting of the Services and Facilities Committee this Thursday where a wide range of topics will be discussed.

The meeting's agenda includes the consideration of a quote for the provision, and installation, of a floral display in the North Shropshire town.

The meeting's agenda adds that town councillors will also consider increasing the watering fee charged to local businesses who are provided with a hanging basket outside their business premises by the Town Council.

Elsewhere, councillors will consider whether to continue paying for the junior and senior youth club sessions and consider a request from a local resident to plant some trees on the grassed area around Hampon Drive play area.

Importantly, Market Drayton Town Councill will consider and agree the draft Services and Facilities Committee budget for 2025-26.

Updates will also be provided surrounding the Towers Lawn toilets, and plans that have been submitted for refurbishment.

Meanwhile, another successful Festival of Lights will be discussed after hundreds turned out to see Market Drayton's Christmas lights switched on.

Members of the public are invited to listen to the meeting online, and can also question the Council on local issues - provided they indicate their intention to do so to the Town Clerk by noon on the day before the meeting.
