Shifnal flower shop is blooming delighted with double award win
A Shifnal businesswoman is blooming beaming after landing honours at prestigious awards events.
Rachael Pallett, who runs The Flower Girl in Market Place, was highly commended in the best customer service category of the West Midlands Small Business Awards.
And she was also named as best florist in Shropshire in the 2024 England Business Awards.
“It is fantastic to receive this recognition – I am very, very proud – it has been a great year,” said Rachael.
She has seen her floristry business blossom over the last two years.
“I took the plunge and decided to launch my own shop and have not looked back as I am really busy,” said Rachael, who has over a decade of experience of working with flowers and now employs two part-time staff.
She prides herself on being a bespoke floral designer, using seasonal and exotic blooms to create bouquets for a range of events including weddings, proms, funerals and parties.
As well as flowers, she sells indoor plants and a selection of gifts made in Shifnal.
Sally Themans of Love Shifnal praised Rachael, adding: “She is one of Shifnal’s great independent retailers and her success is well deserved."
