Ah Players are back at a Llandrindod Well venue this Christmas, with their latest production, ‘Tink!’

Tink! will take place at the Albert Hall on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7 at 7.30pm, with a matinee performance taking place on Sunday, December 8 at 2.30pm.

This fun show for the whole family, follows the story of a girl, and her two younger brothers, who follow a boy who never grows up and his fairy companion to a magical land of adventure!

Here, they meet a villain who has an aversion to sea creatures and a rather important missing appendage.

Sound’s familiar? Oh no it doesn’t!

Will they survive? Will anyone remember the script? Will this year’s set fall down? You’ll have to be there to find out!

There will be singing, dancing, audience participation, and laughter!

A spokesperson for the Albert Hall said: “We're delighted to welcome back our Ah Players with this year's annual Christmas show!

“Ah Players raise much needed funds for our venue, and we are so looking forward to seeing their latest production, following the success of ‘Jesus, Mary & Joseph’ in 2022 and ‘Scrooge’ in 2023.”

Ah Players was established in 2021, when a group of friends behind The Albert Hall put on a Musical Revue to celebrate the return of live theatre, following the pandemic.

Since then, the group has grown and grown, and is going from strength to strength.

In three years, they have performed eight productions, as well as being invited to perform at numerous events in the local area, most recently performing at The Metropole Christmas Fayre.

Ticket prices have been frozen again this year, with adults being £6 and children are £3. Tickets are available from https://thealberthall.co.uk/whats-on/2024/tink/ or over the phone on 0300 102 4255, or on the door, 30 minutes before each performance.

All proceeds from this production will go straight back into The Albert Hall, to ensure we can continue the upkeep of our beautiful theatre.

The Albert Hall's Accessible Cinema is also returning for the festive season, presenting six relaxed film screenings. ELF on December 10 at 6.30pm, The Muppet Christmas Carol on December 12 at 6.30pm, Miracle on 34th Street on December 17 at 6.30pm, and Arthur Christmas on December 19 at 6.30pm.

On Sunday, December 22, The Snowman (Raymond Briggs) will be screened at 3pm, and at 5pm, It's a Wonderful Life.

All tickets for these films are just £2 per person, paid on the door. Low cost refreshments on sale.
