Lilleshall National Sports Centre groundsman Jack Inglis, aged 21, has been landed with a hefty court bill and a road ban after being caught on the A5 between Telford and Shrewsbury.

Telford Magistrates Court was told that at around 11.20am on July 15 this year, officers pulled over a Volkswagen Passat that was showing as having no insurance.

Inglis, the driver, had been on a night out in Shrewsbury with friends the previous evening and told officers that’s when he had taken cocaine. He tested positive for drugs at the roadside and was arrested.
