David Bellamy will be giving the demonstration at 2pm at Erwood Station Gallery and Craft Centre of one of Radnorshire’s natural gems.

David revels in seeking out the wild places not just in Powys, but as far afield as the Arctic, Himalayas, Andes, the Arabian deserts, and many of the remote parts of the world.

Mr Bellamy said: “To travel to such exciting and exotic places to paint the landscapes and people is a great privilege, but it’s always a great joy to return home to our stunning local scenery.”

This time he will be painting a watercolour of a picturesque waterfall hidden in the folds of the local landscape, and describing his techniques as he progresses.

Proceeds from the demonstration will be donated to Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, but there is limited space so booking is essential.

David is a regular contributor and advisor to Leisure Painter magazine and has taken many painting groups to various countries. He has written 23 books and will also have many of these on display.

Erwood Station, about six miles south of Builth just off the A470, puts on many interesting events throughout the year, and is a wonderful and welcoming place to relax over a cuppa and one or two of their fabulous cakes.

Tickets are £15 and for further details and booking a place please ring the centre on 01982 560555.
