Father and son from Cleobury Mortimer charged with string of drug offences

A father and son from Cleobury Mortimer were due to appear at court charged with a string of drug offences.

Christopher Booton, 32, and Phillip Booton, 58, both of Cleobury Road in Cleobury Mortimer, have received 19 charges between them.

Christopher has been charged with four counts of being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class C drug, one count of being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class B drug,  one count of conspiracy to produce MDMA/ecstasy and six counts of conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of class C.

His father, Phillip, has been charged with six counts of conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of class C and one count of conspiracy to produce MDMA/ecstasy.

Both have been remanded in custody and were set to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court today, November 28.
