Severn Trent Water posted at 10.13am today (Friday) saying it was aware of an incident in the SY2 area of Shrewsbury.

The company made an apology to residents experiencing poorer pressure or no water supply.

An update at 2.52pm made a further apology to residents and said teams were on site and aware of the cause.

Severn Trent said at the time it was confident that the problem would be resolved by 3pm.

However, a post at 3.21pm said the company is "really sorry" if residents are still experiencing supply interruptions due to the burst water pipe.

It said: "Our teams are working hard to get your water flowing again, but the repair is taking us a little longer than we first anticipated.

"We will provide you with a further update by 12amApologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience."
