Hundreds of adorable sausage dogs and owners come together for Whitchurch Christmas Dachshund Extravaganza
Hundreds of dachshund owners celebrated Christmas with their furry companions at Alderford Lake for the annual Dachshund Extravaganza.

The event, now in its fourth year, ventured to a new location in Whitchurch on Sunday. Sausage dog owners took a picturesque walk around the beautiful lake and enjoyed a day filled with festive fun.
The Christmas Dachshund Extravaganza featured dog-related stalls, countless photo opportunities and a dog-friendly café. Dachshunds and their owners were also able to meet 'Santa Paws' inside a grotto and enjoy free 'puppuccinos'.
Fancy dress competitions and a fabulous raffle with prizes donated by local businesses completed the event. Organiser Michelle Evans said attendees travelled from as far away as Peterborough and South Wales to join in with the fun.
