Shrewsbury-based charity Self Help Africa is taking part in the UK’s biggest online match-funding campaign, The Big Give Christmas Challenge, which gives supporters a chance to have their donation doubled for free.
Town centre restaurant CSONS has long been a supporter of the charity’s fundraising food events showcasing sustainable, locally grown and nutritional cuisine, so is helping to promote their campaign ‘Kitchen Gardens for Nutrition in Kenya’.
Appropriately starting on Giving Tuesday, for one week only between December 3 and 10, the charity aims to raise £30,000 to support families in food poverty in Baringo County, Kenya.
