Slew of Newport roads could get double yellow lines under new traffic restrictions
A public consultation has opened into a series of traffic restrictions across Newport.

Telford & Wrekin Council's traffic team is proposing a series of new waiting and parking restrictions across Newport.
The proposals have been developed from public enquiries and input from local councillors over the last 18 months.
Plans include the introduction of no waiting and no loading at any time restrictions on parts of Beaumaris Road, Broadway, Brookside Avenue, Deer Park Drive, Granville Road, Longford Road, Park End, Shuker's Close, Springfields, Springfield Avenue, Station Court, Station Road, Stretton Avenue, Town Wells, Chetwynd End, Chetwynd Road and Edgmond Road.
No stopping on school entrance markings are proposed for Beaumaris Road and Wellington Road, and no stopping on verge or footway restrictions are proposed for Audley Avenue, Chancery Court, Brookside Avenue and Springfield Avenue.
A public consultation into the plans opened at the end of last month and will run until January 10 and the full details to be found online at: telford.gov.uk/TRO
Documents detailing the particulars of the whole order are also available to view during normal opening hours at Telford & Wrekin Council, Darby House, Lawn Central, TF3 4JA, or at Newport Town Council offices.
