An 82-year-old rapist has been jailed for 22 years for multiple sex attacks on a young girl over almost four years.

John Hughes will not be eligible for release until he is 104 after a jury found him guilty of five counts of rape of a girl under the age of 16 at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
The charges relate to historic sexual abuse which took place at an address in Shrewsbury between January 1981 and December 1984.
