In the run-up to the peak of the storm, Birmingham Airport has given advice on travelling safely by air to avoid any disruption.
The airport said that safety will be their "number one priority" over the weekend, and colleagues will be on hand to help those travelling.
While the schedule for the period remains the same, the airport says "passengers are not encouraged to arrive with more time at the airport than what is currently recommended" but that they should be mindful that "travelling to the airport may take longer due to road and rail disruption".
The group also said "passengers are advised to check their carrier's website before coming to the airport."
The advice comes as large parts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland were issued a yellow 'severe' weather warning by the Met Office, with the weather group saying that high winds of up to 60-70mph and heavy rainfall are expected.
The adverse weather may mean travel complications for many as the West Midlands braces for potential floods, fallen trees and debris and other road and rail disruptions.
