Stuart Anderson MP has also launched a survey to gather the views of the South Shropshire constituency’s more than 5,000 small businesses and traders.
Mr Anderson wants to make South Shropshire one of the best places in the country to start and grow a business.
A small business can be defined as one employing up to 50 people.
He has said that he wants to better understand the needs and concerns of the local business community to inform his work in Parliament when advocating for more support to drive local economic growth.
Mr Anderson's call for nominations and small business survey have both been launched ahead of tomorrow's Small Business Saturday, which celebrates the value of and social impact made by local businesses on our high streets, town centres, and villages.
Now in its 12th year Small Business Saturday has grown significantly since 2013.
Mr Anderson said: "Small Business Saturday is an ideal opportunity to support the more than 5,000 enterprises in South Shropshire which provide the goods and services that we all rely on.
“They create the jobs, growth, and revenue that helps our community to flourish. I would encourage everyone to nominate their favourite small business and support them not just on Small Business Saturday itself, but throughout the winter and beyond to keep them thriving.
“I invite every small business to take part in my local priorities survey.
"Feedback received will shape my plan to ensure that South Shropshire becomes a thriving place to work and shop in. It is just one of the ways in which I am listening to, supporting, and delivering for our local business community in South Shropshire."
