Gina and Dave Evans were in bed watching TV at 11pm on November 27 when they heard a 'most almighty bang'.

“I've never heard anything like it,” said Mrs Evans, a 57-year-old customer advisor.

“It was so close and so loud that we thought it had hit the house.”

The driver walked away unharmed but was taken to hospital after his BMW turned turtle leaving him upside down with his legs out of the window.

The emergency services turned out in force to Priory Road in Wombridge, Telford, where they found a scene of devastation.

Debris from the crash was propelled into the couple's two cars and a brick went clean through a new window landing some eight feet inside the building.

“The driver said he was sorry and that he had an argument with his Mrs and had lost control of the car,” said Mrs Evans.
