The incident, reported by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service as in the cellar of Fish Fare on Market Street in Wellington, happened at around 8.13pm yesterday - Sunday, December 8.

An update from the fire service said that the incident had involved a 'compacter machine'.

It said that the crews has worn breathing equipment while they used a hose and a jet to tackle the incident.

A later update from Amber Watch Wellington on social media said: "Amber Watch alerted at 20:13 along with wholetime colleagues from Wellington to reports of a building fire in Wellington. On arrival, a small fire involving an electrical item was located in the cellar. Crews extinguished the fire and isolated all electrics."
