Latest road closures in Shropshire as work to repair damaged walls and improve flood resilience gets underway

Several roads will be closed in Shropshire for gas works, broadband installations and to mend broken walls.

Traffic will be prohibited from using Dutton Close, Stoke Heath until Friday, December 13 for gas mains to be laid for a new housing development.

Part of London Road in Shrewsbury is closed between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm up to December 21 for BT to lay duct and install joint boxes.

Vehicles are unable to use Baveney Lane, Neen Savage (Wall Town Bridge) until December 21 while a 15m collapsing wall is taken down and replaced with new stone. A drainage pipe on site will also be repaired.

Drainage work is also ongoing in Kemberton, Shifnal, with traffic blocked from using Grooms Lane until December 13.

Traffic will be prohibited from using an unnamed road between Six Ashes and Batfield Lane in Bridgnorth until this Friday between 9am and 4pm as kerbing is installed to prevent flooding.
