The tree is on display at Shrewsbury's Salop Leisure, with chairman Tony Bywater asking is the 35ft high tree is the tallest in the county.
Mr Bywater said the firm had received a huge amount of positive feedback from customers who have enjoyed seeing the spectacular tree on display at the company’s Emstrey headquarters.
The tree was specially ordered from the North Wales forests and is particularly eye-catching when lit with decorations at night alongside Emstrey roundabout on the Shrewsbury bypass.
“We like to spread the festive cheer and it would be interesting to know if we have the tallest Christmas tree on public display in Shrewsbury and perhaps Shropshire, this year,” said Mr Bywater.
“It’s important to the company that we make the festive season magical for our customers, especially those with young families. Our business is located at the gateway to Shrewsbury and we take pride in contributing to the town’s Christmas attractions.
“We receive hundreds of positive comments from customers about our Christmas tree every year. This year, Love Plants manager, Tom Pountney, sourced the tree from a North Wales forest.”
For customers looking for more modestly sized Christmas trees, Love Plants, Salop Leisure’s specialist plants centre, has freshly cut and potted varieties for sale.
Available in a range of sizes to suit most homes, prices range from £35 to £50 for freshly cut Nordman Fir. Potted Nordman Fir and Fraser Fir trees cost £58.99 and there are also Christmas wreaths, plants, lights and gifts available.
Salop Leisure, Love Plants and Love2Stay are also serving up a Christmas Adventure for visitors.
A Twilight Trail, Santa’s Grotto, Storytime with Mrs Claus and even Santa Paws, giving dogs a chance to meet Santa, have their photo taken and receive a gift, are open at Love2Stay until December 23.
Visits must be pre-booked at the Love2Stay website: https://www.love2stay.co.uk/christmas.
