Well-known Shropshire artist, Penelope Timmis is hosting an exhibition at Love Champagne Warehouse in Battlefield Enterprise Park featuring some of her latest Australian inspired contemporary works.

The week-long exhibition kicked off last Friday with a private viewing and celebration with canapes and fizz.

All proceeds went towards, and will continue to go to, the British Red Cross.

Viewings of the exhibition will continue until Sunday, December 15.

The artist said: "I’m excited to have the opportunity to exhibit my latest paintings here in Shrewsbury while supporting a very much deserved charity,.

"Land and seascape paintings together with flowers and fowl have a firm place in my distinctive style, and a recent trip to Queensland has further inspired my work featuring colour, movement and life."

After studying at the Froebel Institute in Roehampton and in Shrewsbury, Penelope has gone on to exhibit her art around the world.

The artist works from her studio gallery near the county town and is an elected Associate of the Birmingham Society of the Arts, and a member of the Society of Women Artists.

Tickets for the exhibition cost £20 and Shropshire residents can visit between 10am and 4pm.
