The barn, that is situated in the rural village of Richards Castle near Ludlow, also boasts a large paddock and 0.34 acres of land in total.

It appeared on the market on Monday, December 9 for a guide price of £195,000 with Mark Wiggin Estate Agents.

The property is part of the Upper House Barns that are a range of barns with planning permission for conversion into residential dwellings.

The development opportunity on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border that is also a stone's throw from the edge of Mortimer Forest offers the chance for a single storey, two bedroom property to be built.

The listing states the property as an "exceptional small barn for conversion".

Proposals for the dwelling include an open plan kitchen/living space, two bedrooms with one en-suite bathroom, and a wet room.

A decision was made by Herefordshire District Council in April last year. Planning consent numbers are 231367 and 170062.

The listing adds that the barn is the smaller barn of the Upper House Barns.
