Kington Town Council will take part in a tree, hedgerow and woodland consultation.

Individual members of the council will read the consultation and send in their own responses to it to the town clerk.

Town clerk Liz Kelso will then come up with a consensus of the council’s views and submit them to the consultation.

LUC has been appointed to produce a strategy to support the conservation, improved management and enhancement of Herefordshire’s treescape and hedgerow network.

The aim of the study is to set out an aspirational yet achievable future vision for the county’s treescape including the improved management of existing stock and the expansion of tree cover and hedgerow networks across the county.

The final strategy is expected to be completed by March 2025.
