Llanwrtyd Wells' Thursday Club hears about dark skies from the guest speaker
Llanwrtyd Thursday Club’s Peri Emirali extended a warm welcome to all members present and sent best wishes to all sick members at a recent meeting
The guest speaker was Mr Dafydd Wyn Morgan of Tregaron who gave a very impressive illustrated talk on ‘Dark Skies’ basing his talk on the belief that ‘Night is the best time of day’.
Through his dedication and perseverance Dafydd was able to share with members the many wonderful images which he has captured over the years of the Northern and Southern
Lights, various comets and meteors, the Milky Way, the Plough, the Saucepan etc etc.
Ainsley Jones thanked Dafydd for a most fascinating, impressive and educational talk.
The raffle was won by Mary Hutt. Those present then enjoyed the refreshments served by some of the lady members.
The next meeting will be the Christmas Lunch at the Drovers Rest on Thursday December 19 at 12pm.
