Police warning after man enters garden and looks at belongings in Shrewsbury

Police have warned Shrewsbury residents after receiving reports about a man who wandered into a garden to look at belongings.

West Mercia Police officer and PCSO in the county town, Lyn Birch posted on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page this morning (Sunday) reporting the suspicious activity. 

The post stated that the incident took place in the Atcham/Uffington area of Shrewsbury.

A man described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall, wearing a high visibility jacket and beanie hat, and driving a white panel van, has reportedly entered into a garden and looked at belongings.

However, nothing was taken. 

The post said: "A male described as 5 ft, 8 in tall, stocky build, Eastern European, wearing a Hi-Vis jacket and a beanie hat, has entered into a garden looking around at belongings, however nothing has been taken. The male was driving a large white panel van, 12 plate.

 "Please contact 101 if any suspicious activity is seen or 999 in an emergency."
