One crew from Tweedale was sent to deal with the incident at Paddock Court in Dawley, Telford, at around 1.25am.
An update from the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the crew had worn breathing equipment while using a hose to tackle the incident.
They said that the van had been "75 per cent damaged" by the fire, and that although there were no casualties, the police had also been called to the incident.
