Roof and wall collapse in early morning house fire in Kington
Fire crews from both sides of border were called to a large house fire in Kington in the early hours of Friday morning.
Crews responded to the call at around 4:44am on Friday morning.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Llandrindod Wells and Hay-on-Wye Fire Stations were joined by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service to tackle the blaze.
The fire was at two-storey domestic property and measured around 10 metres by 8 metres.
"Crews utilised two hose reel jets, thermal imaging cameras and water from an open water source to extinguish the fire," said a fire service spokesperson.
The property, which was well alight by the time crews arrived ,was significantly damaged, with the roof and one wall collapsing.
Fire crews left the scene at 9.22am.
