Firefighters tackle Telford car fire in early hours

Firefighters were called out to a car fire in Telford in the early hours of today.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a car fire at around 2.50am on Tuesday.

The incident happened on Malcolm Randle Close in Malinslee.

One fire engine from Telford Central Station rushed to the scene, and the crew reported one vehicle "fully involved in fire". 

The crew worked to extinguish the blaze and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. 

The stop message, which indicates the scene was under control, was received at 3.11am.
