In August, the family behind the White House Hotel in Muxton handed over the keys to The Grill Pub Co after 60 years of management.
The Swindley family had been a part of the hotel since Jim and Moira Swindley took over at the Wellington Road business in 1963.
60 years on and looking forward to a quieter life in retirement, Jim and Moira's son, James sold the lease to The Grill Pub Co., a privately owned leisure group that run several venues around Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire, including The Davenport Arms in Marton and The Horseshoes in Uckington.
