Winter wonderland Christmas tree festival on in Llandrindod Wells
The inside of a Llandrindod Wells church has become a Winter Wonderland of Christmas trees for the annual festival.
Holy Trinity Church is currently home to 46 trees of all shapes and sizes designed and created by organisations and groups within the area.
From singing group Cantorion’s pink tree with teal baubles, Llandrindod Theatre Company’s tree complete with hats, Jigsaw Nursery’s tree made out of boxes and the church band with a tree made out of a drum.
Other groups who have taken part include First Steps Nursery, Trefonnen and Cefnllys Schools, Llandrindod Transition, the Royal British Legion, the art club, Open Doors, Wales Pensioners, Hope House Hospice and St David’s Church in Howey.
Llandrindod Wells Town Council has also decorated a tree, which is a tree of remembrance where people can write messages and leave them. They also generously gave a donation to the church for the festival.
Churchwarden Jenny Davies said: “There are 46 trees in this year’s festival, which is three or four more than last year. They are all wonderful trees and visitors have been enjoying seeing them.”
The festival is on at the church until January 1 except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and entry is free.
It is open from 10am until 4pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 2pm until 4pm on Sundays.
