Telford woman, 37, assaulted police officer and tried to steal booze and razor blades from Asda

A woman who assaulted a policeman and tried to steal alcohol and razor blades worth more than £370 has been handed a suspended jail term.

Samantha Sheehan, aged 37, tried to steal the items from Asda in Telford town centre on May 27 this year. She assaulted the officer in the town on the same day.

Sheehan, of Boulton Grange, Telford, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to assault by beating of an emergency worker and attempted theft from a shop.
