'We're putting fine dining on the map for Telford' - Refurbed and renamed pub reopens

The new bosses behind a Telford pub that has undergone a luxurious £1m refurbishment have explained what customers new and old can expect.

In August, the family behind the White House Hotel in Muxton handed over the keys to The Grill Pub Co after 60 years of management.

The privately owned leisure group, which runs several venues around Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire, including The Davenport Arms in Marton and The Horseshoes in Uckington, have spent almost £1 million on renovations.

Operations manager Martyn Hanley said the company is hoping the new venue will "put fine dining on the map for Telford".

 He said: "The managing director has spent just shy of a million pounds transforming the White House Hotel, giving it a fresh new look.
