The Shropshire Star was contacted by one of the women who had gotten stuck with a colleague because of a flat tyre.

She said their unexpected helper had 'restored our faith in human kind'.

The pair had been on the way to work on Thursday, December 19, when they had to pull over just outside Southwater in Telford.

Thankfully for them a kind-spirited man known only as 'Andy' stopped to help them change the wheel.

The driver said he told them he could not have left them in an "unsafe situation".

Thanking their Christmas Samaritan one of women said: "My colleague and I got a flat tyre, just outside Southwater, on our way to work on Thursday, December 19.

"We were waiting for the AA when this guy stopped behind us and asked if he could help us.

"In no time at all he changed my tyre and got us on our way - not wanting any money!

"He said that it was good to be kind, his wife would be happy that he helped two ladies out and also that he couldn't have driven past leaving us in an unsafe situation.

"A Christmas miracle there and then. He just restored our faith in human kind."
