Builth Fest were awarded £500 by a majority decision for the on-going costs of carnival day in the summer

Moca Cymru were awarded £3,000 by a unanimous decision for supporting 30 young people through clubs and 200 more young people throughout the year with funding for arts, crafts and workshops along with the young promoters who bring live performance throughout the year and have actually put on two shows at Strand recently.

They would also like to put on workshops for the vulnerable and disabled young people within this area.

Builth Bike Bash was awarded £1,000 for the upkeep and maintenance to the bike track in a unanimous decision by members.

Wyeside Arts Centre was awarded £2,000 in a unanimous decision by Builth Wells Town Council members. The grant is for painting the exterior facade of the building.

They considered each of the applications and discussed them at length.

The groups will be awarded their grants in January.

The Heritage Society was unsuccessful in receiving a grant this time as they were awarded a grant earlier in May and one of the grant conditions is that a group can only apply once in any financial year.
