£30,000 worth of potato fungicide chemicals stolen from Telford farm

Thieves have stolen £30,000 worth of chemicals normally used as fungicides for potatoes from a farm in Telford.

West Mercia Police Business & Rural Crime Officer, Paul Gough posted on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page today reporting the incident that occurred last Friday (December 20).

A report was received from a farmer about a high value of chemicals being stolen from their premises.

The post said: "The persons responsible have broken into a chemical store shed, by breaking metal cladding panel. They have stolen £30,000 worth of chemicals, namely Zorvec Endavia, Reevus and Infinito.

"These chemicals are very specific and are generally only used for potatoes.

"This is for people's awareness if they are offered any of these products or have any information in relation to this crime, please don't hesitate to contact the police."
