Telford Magistrates Court was told that Darren Edward Morris has voluntarily stopped driving since the incident near the Donnington Clock Tower roundabout on the A518 on June 23, 2024.

Morris, of Primmer Road, Donnington, pleaded guilty to driving a White Clio while unfit through drugs when he appeared before magistrates on Tuesday (December 24).

Court officials discussed whether Morris should have faced one charge for each of the drugs in his system but decided that it could be described as a "cocktail".

They had included morphine-based drugs.

Prosecutor Kate Price said: “The cocktail of drugs made him a danger on the roads.”
