The spooky picture of three woolly wonders emerging from the twixmas gloom was taken by wandering amateur photographer Peter Steggles.

The scene photographed in Rushbury, Shropshire, on Friday is set to be repeated over the next few days.

Weather experts at the Met Office say it will be cloudy and mild for the time of year.
