Mark Edward Phillips, of Severn Drive in Wellington, pleaded guilty to drug driving a Mercedes C220, in Holyhead Road, Ketley, on July 12, 2024.
A blood test revealed that he had 5.9 microgrammes of THC (cannabis) per litre of blood in his system when the limit is 2mcg per litre.
The 49-year-old carer told Telford Magistrates Court that he had smoked cannabis the night before and then slept for eight hours.
