The 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a child, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, and for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Telford Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday (December 24) that the woman had recorded a non-evidential roadside breath test reading of 126, which is more than three times the limit of 35, after a crash in Pontesbury on December 11 this year.

Prosecutor Kate Price told magistrates that the crash caused "significant damage" to her car and the woman was taken to hospital. The child was unharmed, the court heard.
