'Saloon car reversed into Market Drayton house': This is what the emergency services found

Three emergency services were scrambled to reports that people were involved when a car crashed into a house in Market Drayton.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to Rowan Road at 8.30am on Saturday – including three fire appliances and an operations officer from Hodnet and Market Drayton.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “Fire control received a call reporting that a road traffic collision had taken place in Market Drayton.

“Three fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton. An operations officer was in attendance, as were the police.

“One saloon vehicle had reversed into a house.

“Vehicle occupants had released themselves from the vehicle prior to fire service arrival and were assessed by ambulance crews.”

A structural engineer was called out to look into damage to the building. 

The fire crews sent their incident stop message at 9:17am.
