YouTubers Chris and Marianne Fisher of Tread The Globe arrived back home in Ironbridge in September after more than four years of touring around the world in their beloved campervan Trudy.
The pair set off in 2020, became Turkish residents for 18 months during the Covid-19 pandemic, and then visited Asia, the USA, Alaska, Canada, South America and South Africa - documenting their experiences along the way.
The couple have gained more than 190,000 subscribers to their YouTube channel and were greeted by hundreds upon their return to Telford from their mammoth trip.
But, now, after just a few months back home, Chris and Marianne have begun their latest adventure and are set to bring further entertainment and thrills to their fans around the world.
In a social media post on December 22, the couple announced: "We are flying to Kota Kinabalu in northern Borneo.
"The plan is to try and buy some kind of old 4x4 and explore off the beaten track in Sabah, Brunei and Sarawak. Rainforests, reefs and ancient tribes.
"We've been to Sabah before but never overlanded in our own vehicle. It's going to be one wild adventure."
Located in the East Malaysia region, Sabah shares maritime borders with Vietnam to the west, and the Philippines to the north and east.
The region offers much to be explored including tropical rainforests with an abundance of animal and plant species, long mountain ranges, and the second-longest river in Malaysia that runs through the state.
Last Friday Chris and Marianne flew to Kuala Lumpur, where they will celebrate the new year before setting off to find a new vehicle to explore in.
"Let the next adventure begin," said a social media post on December 27. "We are having a quick drink in Birmingham Airport Wetherspoons before getting on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul where we will change to another plane and head to Kuala Lumpur where we will spend new year before heading to our final destination.
"So excited to be travelling again and we’ll find lots of amazing new adventures to share with you."
The Telford travellers then shared an update yesterday (December 29) after arriving in Kuala Lumpur with Chris looking extremely happy as he tucked into one of his favourite dishes.
A post said: "We've made it to Kuala Lumpur and after 12 hours of sleep we headed out for our favourite breakfast - Roti Canai.
"We're excited to be back in Malaysia. We are going to be here for a week, planning, catching up with friends and getting over the jet lag before heading over to Borneo and looking for a vehicle."
