A request for a bench in a Builth Wells park in memory of loved family members, is being considered by the town council.

The council recently received a request to place a bench on the Groe near to Swingy bridge in memory of Audrey and Bert Thomas, who lived at Pendre all of their lives.

Their grandchildren made the request to the town clerk.

Builth Wells Town Council members said they were not against the idea of the bench but they would need to go and look at the area and see where it would be best to locate a bench.

The clerk will contact the family to update them on the situation.
