Flood warnings remain active for the River Vyrnwy at both Maesbrook and Melverley.
Only last night a farmer rescued a woman and a child stranded in flood water at Melverley.
That came after the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out twice to rescue people using boats in Mid Wales earlier in the day.
As well as the flood warnings a number of flood alerts are also in place, including for the River Severn, the Severn Vyrnwy Confluence, the Tern and Perry Catchments, as well as the River Dee at Whitchurch and the River Sow and Penk.
Significant disruption was caused throughout New Year's Day, when a number of roads were closed due to flooding.
It comes ahead of a weekend where the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow - covering Mid Wales and Shropshire.
That warning runs from Saturday through to Monday.
An update from the Met Office for Saturday's forecast said: "Currently, parts of the Midlands, Wales and northern England are most at risk of disruption, where 5cm or more could accumulate fairly widely, with perhaps as much as 20-30cm over high ground of Wales and/or the Pennines. This, accompanied by strengthening winds, may lead to drifting of lying snow."
